About Dr. Adler

Shoshana Shapiro Adler, Ph.D., a child and adult psychoanalyst and licensed psychologist, treats children, adolescents, and adults in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy.

She is on the faculty of the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis and on the adjunct child faculty at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute where she is a Child Supervising Analyst. She also serves as a supervisor in the Adult Analytic Program at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia.

She also has taught at the School of Professional Psychology, University of Denver; the University of Colorado School of Medicine; and psychoanalytic training programs in Chengdu and Yichang, China.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Adler is the former head of the Schools Committee of the Denver Psychoanalytic Society, where she currently serves as a member. She was President-Elect of the Denver Psychoanalytic Society (2023–2025) and is President until June 2027.

She enjoys helping people discover how to grow and overcome obstacles to fulfillment in their creativity, success, and relationships.
